This book is about a little boy called Pietro who lives with his grandfather and his mother in a cottage. His grandfather had a donkey called Modestine.

One day his grandfather had a fall and he might not be able to walk again unless he saw a special doctor. Pietro had to get some money to get a doctor for his grandfather.

One day a boat was going to Palma and a little girl got left behind so she stayed with Pietro until she went home. She wrote to her father and told him all about grandfather.

When he came he bought with him a doctor to heal grandfather so it was a happy ending.

I like this book because it is exciting.
I would give it 10/10
