CHRISTIAN RESOURCES LEICESTER

Since the recent sad death of Peter Hebden, sole proprietor of Christian Resources Leicester, there has been some uncertainty regarding the future of this popular and successful business.

As a result of conversations with Revd Cynthia Hebden, Peter's widow, the Bishop of Leicester is now happy to be able to announce the clear intention of the diocese to relocate Christian Resources Leicester within the new Centre to be established in the former grammar school premises next to Leicester Cathedral.

It is hoped that this new Centre will be open during autumn 2010 when, subject to due process, the full transfer of the business will take place.

Christian Resources is the new name for the SPCK Bookshop in Leicester, trading independently as from November 2007.

We stock a diverse range of Christian literature including devotional and theological books, liturgy and resource material. We specialise in books of Jewish, including Messianic, interest. We also stock a substantial selection of greetings cards, gift books and Christian gifts.

We stock an impressive range of Christian computer software, music CDs and DVDs and have demonstration facilities in store.

Books not held in stock can be ordered: we aim to fulfill all orders within seven days, but can often obtain stock within only three!

Berach Christian Bookshop is based in the Market Hall at the Arndale Shopping Mall in Luton. You can access the bookshop via the Arndale Shopping mall or the Market Hall. We are located at the second entrance to the market hall.

Berach Christian Bookshop has been in existence over 4 years. The shop serves churches, Bible Colleges, organisations and individuals all over the world. It provides mail order services.

Luton Christian Book Centre was launched in February 2004 as a result of the merger of the former Crusader Book Centre and Hightown Christian Books. It is based in a purpose-built 1,300 sq ft area of Kestin House, national headquarters of the Crusaders. The shop serves the local community and provides a mail order service to Crusaders' national ministry.

The book centre complements the other conference facilities available from within the Crusaders headquarters, which includes a 100 seater, fully-equipped conference suite with a "break-out" seminar room and commercial kitchen for catering purposes. Organisations interested in hiring the new conference facility should contact Crusaders on 01582 589851.
